- The master was full of praise. ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’

Our Father in heaven,

as it is in heaven. - Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.

It is I, the Lord, the First and the Last.
I alone am he. - And Jesus said to him, “Go, for your faith has healed you.” Instantly the man could see, and he followed Jesus down the road.
- Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen.”
- Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.
- Suppose you sin by violating one of the Lord’s commands. Even if you are unaware of what you have done, you are guilty and will be punished for your sin.
- He will judge everyone according to what they have done.
- But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.
- Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
- You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and you are right, because that’s what I am.
- You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of complete rest, an official day for holy assembly. It is the Lord’s Sabbath day, and it must be observed wherever you live.
- Stay on the path that the Lord your God has commanded you to follow. Then you will live long and prosperous lives in the land you are about to enter and occupy.
- Well then, since God’s grace has set us free from the law, does that mean we can go on sinning? Of course not!
- Enjoy prosperity while you can,
but when hard times strike, realize that both come from God.
Remember that nothing is certain in this life. - He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.
- But when Jesus heard what had happened, he said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be healed.”
- One day when the crowds were being baptized, Jesus himself was baptized. As he was praying, the heavens opened, and the Holy Spirit, in bodily form, descended on him like a dove. And a voice from heaven said, “You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.”
- He will give eternal life to those who keep on doing good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers.
- And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because it was the day when he rested from all his work of creation.
- When Jesus heard this, he said, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do.”
- If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom.
- O Lord, I will honor and praise your name,
for you are my God.
You do such wonderful things!
You planned them long ago,
and now you have accomplished them. - Pride leads to conflict;
those who take advice are wise. - If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person?
- So, what about eating meat that has been offered to idols? Well, we all know that an idol is not really a god and that there is only one God.
- Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness.
Let the whole world know what he has done. - Unfailing love, O Lord, is yours.
Surely you repay all people
according to what they have done. - “Abba, Father,” he cried out, “everything is possible for you. Please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”
- Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have declared so well before many witnesses.
- Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them.
It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret. - But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.
- Learn to do good.
Seek justice.
Help the oppressed.
Defend the cause of orphans.
Fight for the rights of widows. - Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?
