Bible Verses about 'Well done'
- His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. Since you have been faithful in small matters, I will give you much greater responsibilities. Come and share your master’s joy.’
- Everything that you do should be done in love.
- And a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
- You believe that there is one God. You do well to assert that. But even the demons believe and tremble.
- If you abide in me
and my words abide in you,
you may ask for whatever you wish,
and it will be done for you. - Beloved, I pray that everything is going well with you and that your bodily health is equal to that of your soul.
- Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with your whole heart, considering the great things he has done for you.
- We have sinned and done what is wrong, we have acted wickedly and rebelled, we have rejected your commandments and your laws.
- This is how you should pray:
‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.’ - Sing praise to the Lord for his mighty deeds;
let this be known throughout the entire world. - For the word of the Lord is true,
and he is faithful in everything he does. - The future bodes well for him
who is generous in helping those in need
and who conducts his affairs with justice. - Oh, that they would have fear of me in their hearts and they would observe all of my commandments always. Then things would go well with them and their children forever.
- You created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am wonderfully made;
awesome are your works,
as I know very well. - Jesus answered them, “Amen, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what has been done to this fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will be accomplished.”
- Jesus said to him, “Go on your way! Your faith has made you well.” Immediately, he received his sight and followed him along the road.
- However, whoever lives by the truth
comes to the light
so that it may be clearly seen
that his deeds have been done in God. - While he was still speaking, suddenly a bright cloud cast a shadow over them. Then a voice from the cloud said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased. Listen to him.”
- What I commanded them was this: Listen to my voice, and I will be your God, and you will be my people. If you follow all the ways that I command you, then you will prosper.
- You need to be steadfast if you want to do the will of God and receive what he has promised.
- God blessed the seventh day and he consecrated it, for on it he rested from all the work he had done when he created all things.
- Who among you is wise and understanding? Prove by your good life that your works are done with the humility that comes from wisdom.
- For six days work can be done, but the seventh is a Sabbath of rest, a holy assembly. You will do no work on it; it is a Sabbath of the Lord in all of your dwellings.
- But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Your almsgiving must be done in secret. And your Father who sees everything that is done in secret will reward you.
- Rather, seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
- You shall obey his statutes and the commandments that I give you today, so that all may go well with you and your children after you, and that you may live long in the land that the Lord, your God, has given you for all time.
- Therefore, put on the armor of God, so that you will be able to hold fast on the evil day and to hold your ground with all your strength.
- When things are going well, be grateful for your blessings,
and in times of adversity consider this:
God has made both of them,
so that we cannot predict with confidence
what the future holds. - Abba, Father, for you all things are possible. Take this cup from me. Yet not my will but yours be done.
- Who has performed these deeds and accomplished this?
Who has summoned the nations from the beginning?
I, the Lord, am the first,
and I will be there with the last. - For the Son of Man will come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay everyone according to what has been done.
- After John had baptized all the people, and while Jesus was engaged in prayer after also having been baptized, heaven opened and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my beloved Son; in you I am well pleased.”
- If you forgive others for the wrongs they have done, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
- You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’
and rightly so,
for that is what I am. - Continue in all of the ways that the Lord, your God, has commanded you. Continue in them so that you may live and prosper and that you may long dwell on the land of your inheritance.
- But when you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father who sees everything that is done in secret will reward you.
- When someone sins and does any of the things that the Lord has forbidden, even if he does not realize he did it, he has still committed an offense and must bear his guilt.
- When Jesus heard this, he said, “Do not be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be saved.”
- Therefore say to them, “Thus says the Lord God: The fulfillment of my words will not be delayed any longer. What I have said will be done now. This is the word of the Lord God.”
- To those who seek after glory and honor and immortality by persevering in good works, he will grant eternal life.
- When Jesus heard this, he said, “It is not the healthy who need a physician, but rather those who are sick.”
- O Lord, you are my God.
I will exalt you and praise your name,
for you have accomplished wonderful things,
formulated in ages past, faithful and sure. - An ignorant man causes strife by his insolence,
but wisdom is found with those who take advice. - All this has been done by God, who has reconciled us to himself through Christ and entrusted us with the ministry of reconciliation.
- The Lord then said, “Very well. All that he has is in your power. However, you may not lay a hand upon him.” So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.
- Not because of any righteous deeds on our part
but because of his mercy,
he saved us through the bath of rebirth
and renewal by the Holy Spirit. - God is our refuge and our strength,
a well-proved help in times of trouble. - But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that the fact that you are fasting will not be obvious to others but only to your Father who is hidden. And your Father who sees everything that is done in secret will reward you.
- For in the one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, Jews as well as Greeks, slaves as well as free men, and we were all given the same Spirit to drink.
- Take no part in the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather seek to expose them.
For it is shameful even to speak of what deeds people do in secret.
