Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Words'
- Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
- Gracious words are a honeycomb,
sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. - Get wisdom, get understanding;
do not forget my words or turn away from them. - Words from the mouth of the wise are gracious,
but fools are consumed by their own lips. - The unfolding of your words gives light;
it gives understanding to the simple. - Sin is not ended by multiplying words,
but the prudent hold their tongues. - If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
- The words of a gossip are like choice morsels;
they go down to the inmost parts. - I have not departed from the commands of his lips;
I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread. - May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart
be pleasing in your sight,
Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. - My son, pay attention to what I say;
turn your ear to my words.
Do not let them out of your sight,
keep them within your heart. - All your words are true;
all your righteous laws are eternal. - Take words with you
and return to the Lord.
Say to him:
“Forgive all our sins
and receive us graciously,
that we may offer the fruit of our lips.” - And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.
- Therefore say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: None of my words will be delayed any longer; whatever I say will be fulfilled, declares the Sovereign Lord.’
- Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
- Moses was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights without eating bread or drinking water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant—the Ten Commandments.
- Repent at my rebuke!
Then I will pour out my thoughts to you,
I will make known to you my teachings. - Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
- Let my teaching fall like rain
and my words descend like dew,
like showers on new grass,
like abundant rain on tender plants. - Listen, my son, accept what I say,
and the years of your life will be many. - These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
- A gentle answer turns away wrath,
but a harsh word stirs up anger. - In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.
- Eloquent lips are unsuited to a godless fool—
how much worse lying lips to a ruler!
The lips of the righteous know what finds favor,
but the mouth of the wicked only what is perverse.Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. For the Lord your God is gracious and compassionate. He will not turn his face from you if you return to him.Next verse!With image
