- For a child has been born to us,
a son has been given to us.
Upon his shoulders dominion rests,
and this is the name he has been given:
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. - Train a child in the way he should go,
and he will not deviate from it, even in old age. - The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore, the child to be born will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God.”

or feel no compassion for the child of her womb?
Even should she forget,
I will never forget you.
Behold, I have inscribed your name
on the palms of my hands;
your walls are continually before my eyes. - As for you, my child, take strength from the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
- And said to them, “Whoever receives this child in my name receives me; and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me. For the one who is least among all of you is the one who is the greatest.”
- The birth of Jesus Christ occurred in this way. When his mother Mary was engaged to Joseph, but before they came to live together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.
- Joseph therefore went from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to the city of David called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David. He went to be registered together with Mary, his betrothed, who was expecting a child.
- Those who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.
- A wise son brings joy to his father,
but a foolish son gives grief to his mother. - Hence, be imitators of God, as beloved children.

because love is from God.
Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. - After he had decided to follow this course of action, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to receive Mary into your home as your wife. For this child has been conceived in her womb through the Holy Spirit.”

When shall I come to behold the face of God? - The father of a good man will rejoice;
he who begets a wise son will delight in him. - God abides in anyone who acknowledges
that Jesus is the Son of God,
and that person abides in God. - For everyone born of God
conquers the world.
And the victory that conquers the world
is our faith. - Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God. - Therefore, you will be given this sign
by the Lord himself:
The virgin will be with child,
and she will give birth to a son,
and she will name him Immanuel. - Indeed, creation itself eagerly awaits the revelation of the children of God.
- Cure the sick who are there, and say, ‘The kingdom of God has come unto you.’
- Jesus replied, “Blessed, rather, are those who hear the word of God and obey it!”
- Jesus replied,
“This is the work of God:
to believe in the one whom he has sent.” - The Spirit himself bears witness with our Spirit that we are children of God.
- And take the helmet of salvation as well as the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- Every word of God has proved to be true;
he is a shield to those who trust in him. - Therefore, accept one another for the glory of God, just as Christ has accepted you.
- My son, if your heart is wise,
then my heart will be glad. - God created mankind in his image, in the image of God he created them, male and female he created them.
- Who indeed conquers the world
except the one who believes
that Jesus is the Son of God? - Do you not realize that you are God’s temple, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
- Jesus replied, “Did I not tell you that if you have faith you will see the glory of God?”
- May the Lord guide your hearts to the love of God and the steadfastness of Christ.
- And every tongue should proclaim
to the glory of God the Father:
Jesus Christ is Lord. - Put on the armor of God so that you will be able to stand firm against the deceit of the devil.
- You need to be steadfast if you want to do the will of God and receive what he has promised.
- In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing among the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
- Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.
- And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God who has marked you with his seal for the day of redemption.
- If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person. For the temple of God is holy, and you are that temple.
- By faith Abraham also received the power of procreation, even though he was well past the age—and Sarah herself was barren—because he believed that the one who had made the promise would be faithful in fulfilling it.
- Listen, my son, and take my words to heart,
and the years of your life will be multiplied. - You have been born anew, not of perishable but of imperishable seed, through the living and enduring word of God.
- Jesus replied,
“Amen, amen, I say to you,
no one can see the kingdom of God
without being born from above.” - Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that at the proper time he may exalt you.
- The time of fulfillment has arrived, and the kingdom of God is close at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.
- The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
- Jesus said,
“Amen, amen, I say to you,
no one can enter the kingdom of God
unless he is born of water and the Spirit.” - Whoever possesses the Son
possesses life;
whoever does not possess the Son of God
does not possess life.
