Chinese (traditional)- Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.
- And those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
- Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who maintains covenant loyalty with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations.
- No one has ever seen God. It is God the only Son, who is close to the Father's heart, who has made him known.
- Yet I have been the Lord your God
ever since the land of Egypt;
you know no God but me,
and besides me there is no savior. - Our God is in the heavens;
he does whatever he pleases. - No one, when tempted, should say, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil and he himself tempts no one.
- So then, a sabbath rest still remains for the people of God; for those who enter God's rest also cease from their labors as God did from his.
- Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?
- And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families.
- These things God has revealed to us through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.
- But surely, God is my helper;
the Lord is the upholder of my life. - To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.
- Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.
- Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my help and my God. - For God alone my soul waits in silence;
from him comes my salvation. - For God alone my soul waits in silence,
for my hope is from him. - Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
- God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble. - I delight to do your will, O my God;
your law is within my heart. - Rise up, O Lord; O God, lift up your hand;
do not forget the oppressed. - He replied, “What is impossible for mortals is possible for God.”
- O God, you are my God, I seek you,
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. - For you, O God, have tested us;
you have tried us as silver is tried. - May God continue to bless us;
let all the ends of the earth revere him.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect. They answered, “Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”Next verse!With image
