John 14;14 (2/4)

When the Advocate comes whom I will send you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father, he will testify on my behalf. But I will send you the Advocate—the Spirit of truth. He will come to you from the Father and will testify all about me.
Nevertheless, I am telling you the truth: it is better for you that I depart. For if I do not go away, the Advocate will not come to you, whereas if I go, I will send him to you.But in fact, it is best for you that I go away, because if I don’t, the Advocate won’t come. If I do go away, then I will send him to you.
And when he comes, he will prove the world wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment. And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment.
Until now, in my name, you have not asked for anything. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete. You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.
I came from the Father and have come into the world. Now I am leaving the world and returning to the Father.Yes, I came from the Father into the world, and now I will leave the world and return to the Father.
I have told you this so that in me you may be in peace. In the world you will endure suffering. But take courage! I have overcome the world.I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.
And eternal life is this: to know you, the only true God, and the one you have sent, Jesus Christ. And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.
I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but I do ask you to protect them from the evil one.I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one.
Father, allow those you have given me to be with me where I am, so that they may behold my glory, which you have bestowed on me because you loved me before the foundation of the world.Father, I want these whom you have given me to be with me where I am. Then they can see all the glory you gave me because you loved me even before the world began!
I have made your name known to them, and I will make it known, so that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and I in them.I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I will be in them.
When Jesus had taken the wine, he said, “It is finished.” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
Then the other disciple who had reached the tomb first also went inside, and he saw and believed. They still did not understand the Scripture indicating that he must rise from the dead. Then the disciple who had reached the tomb first also went in, and he saw and believed— for until then they still hadn’t understood the Scriptures that said Jesus must rise from the dead.
Jesus then said to her, “Do not hold on to me, because I have not yet ascended to my Father. But go to my brethren and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’ ”“Don’t cling to me,” Jesus said, “for I haven’t yet ascended to the Father. But go find my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”
“Peace be with you,” Jesus said to them again. “As the Father has sent me, so I send you.”Again he said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.”
Then Jesus said to him, “You have come to believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe.”Then Jesus told him, “You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.”
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Through him all things came into existence, and without him there was nothing. That which came to be.God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him.
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has been unable to overcome it.The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.
However, to those who did accept him and who believed in his name he granted the power to become children of God.But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. And we saw his glory, the glory as of the Father’s only Son, full of grace and truth. So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.
No one has ever seen God. It is the only Son, God, who is at the Father’s side, who has made him known. No one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who is himself God, is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us.
I myself did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘The one on whom you see the Spirit descend and rest is the one who is to baptize with the Holy Spirit.’I didn’t know he was the one, but when God sent me to baptize with water, he told me, ‘The one on whom you see the Spirit descend and rest is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’
Jesus replied, “Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born from above.”Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”
Jesus said, “Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.”Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.”
What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit.Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life.
