- He shall cover thee with his feathers,
and under his wings shalt thou trust:
his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. - Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
- In God is my salvation and my glory:
the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. - I delight to do thy will, O my God:
yea, thy law is within my heart. - For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord God: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.
- With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love.
- For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
- And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
- For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
- My flesh and my heart faileth:
but God is the strength of my heart,
and my portion for ever. - If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.
- Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil.
- So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
- But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.
- And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you.
- Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
- For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
- Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
- Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord.
- And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
- The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty;
he will save,
he will rejoice over thee with joy;
he will rest in his love,
he will joy over thee with singing. - For thou wilt light my candle:
the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. - He only is my rock and my salvation:
he is my defence; I shall not be moved. - Death and life are in the power of the tongue:
and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. - But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.Next verse!With image
