- You have given me the shield of your salvation,
and your right hand supported me,
and your gentleness made me great.
You gave a wide place for my steps under me,
and my feet did not slip. - If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
- He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
- Every word of God proves true;
he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. - My son, be attentive to my words;
incline your ear to my sayings.

- This God—his way is perfect;

he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him. - I have stored up your word in my heart,
that I might not sin against you. - For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.”
- The sum of your word is truth,
and every one of your righteous rules endures forever. - Since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God.
- I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
and in his word I hope. - He sent out his word and healed them,
and delivered them from their destruction. - The law of the Lord is perfect,
reviving the soul;
the testimony of the Lord is sure,
making wise the simple. - Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord God: None of my words will be delayed any longer, but the word that I speak will be performed, declares the Lord God.
- As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful.
- Get wisdom; get insight;
do not forget, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth. - He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.
- Hear, my son, and accept my words,
that the years of your life may be many. - Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you.
- All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.
- For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished.
- So Jesus answered them, “My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me.”
- The saying is trustworthy, for:
If we have died with him,
we will also live with him. - I have not departed from the commandment of his lips;
I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my portion of food.
