- Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
- And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
- My flesh and my heart faileth:
but God is the strength of my heart,
and my portion for ever. - He giveth power to the faint;
and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. - Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
- Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
- Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
- I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
- Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
- For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
- For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
- A merry heart doeth good like a medicine:
but a broken spirit drieth the bones. - Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all
such as are appointed to destruction. - Defend the poor and fatherless:
do justice to the afflicted and needy. - Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts:
all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
He coveteth greedily all the day long:
but the righteous giveth and spareth not. Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.Next verse!With image
