Chinese (traditional)If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? Better is a little with the fear of the Lord
than great treasure and trouble with it. Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!
Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. My soul yearns for you in the night;
my spirit within me earnestly seeks you.
For when your judgments are in the earth,
the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness. To do righteousness and justice
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord. Seek the Lord and his strength;
seek his presence continually! Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers. See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone. And he humbled you and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. For so the Lord has commanded us, saying,
‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles,
that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’ Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. As a deer pants for flowing streams,
so pants my soul for you, O God. Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need. Every way of a man is right in his own eyes,
but the Lord weighs the heart. In the path of your judgments,
O Lord, we wait for you;
your name and remembrance
are the desire of our soul. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him;
fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way,
over the man who carries out evil devices! Delight yourself in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart. I will greatly rejoice in the Lord;
my soul shall exult in my God,
for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation;
he has covered me with the robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress,
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks. But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints. And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not shrink from him in shame at his coming. He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?
