Chinese (traditional)At dawn let me experience your kindness,
for in you I place my trust.
Show me the path I must walk,
for to you I lift up my soul. Peter answered, “Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may be forgiven, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Put your trust in the Lord and do good,
that you may dwell in the land and be secure. And we are witnesses to these things, as is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him. Jesus answered him,
“Whoever loves me will keep my word,
and my Father will love him,
and we will come to him
and make our abode with him.” The fear of others will prove to be a snare,
but whoever trusts in the Lord is secure. Those who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. Who has performed these deeds and accomplished this?
Who has summoned the nations from the beginning?
I, the Lord, am the first,
and I will be there with the last. The righteous is remembered with blessings,
but the name of the wicked fades away. For you did not receive a spirit of slavery leading to fear; rather, you received the Spirit of adoption, enabling us to cry out, “Abba! Father!” Preferable is the little that the righteous possess
than the great wealth of the wicked.
For the power of the wicked will be overcome,
but the Lord protects the righteous. I consider that the sufferings we presently endure are not worth comparing with the glory to be revealed in us. To him who in all things is able
through the power
that is at work within us
to accomplish abundantly far more
than all we can ask or imagine,
to him be glory in the Church
and in Christ Jesus
through all generations,
forever and ever. Amen. I intend to prove the holiness of my great name which has been profaned among the nations, and which you have profaned among them. Thus, the nations will know that I am the Lord, says the Lord God, when through you I will display my holiness in their sight. But even so the Lord is waiting to be gracious to you,
and he will rise up to grant you his compassion.
For the Lord is a God of justice;
blessed are all those who wait for him. And let us consider how to spur one another to love and good works. Do not neglect to attend your assemblies, as some do, but rather encourage one another, especially since you can see the Day approaching. The Lord will fulfill his plan for me.
Your kindness, O Lord, endures forever;
do not forsake the work of your hands. The Lord bless you and keep you.
The Lord shine his face upon you and be gracious to you.
The Lord look upon you kindly and give you peace. For I, the Lord, am your God
and I grasp your right hand.
It is I who say to you,
Do not fear; I will help you. It is better to acquire wisdom rather than gold,
and more desirable to acquire understanding rather than silver. May God continue to bless us
and be revered to the ends of the earth. This is the message
that we have heard from him
and that we declare to you:
God is light,
and there is no darkness at all in him. Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which separated and came to rest on each one of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different languages, as the Spirit enabled them to do so. What then? Should we sin because we are not under the Law but under grace? Of course not! For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in their midst. The lips of the righteous utter words of kindness,
but the mouth of the wicked knows only how to pervert. And anyone who does not take up his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. I have chosen the way of faithfulness;
I have set your judgments before me. However, if we live in the light
as he himself is in the light,
then we have fellowship with one another,
and the blood of Jesus his Son
purifies us from all sin. A perverse man sows strife,
and a tale-bearer destroys close friendships. He did not spare his own Son but gave him up for all of us. How then can he fail also to give us everything else along with him?
