Chinese (traditional)What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Our help is in the name of the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. This also comes from the Lord of hosts;
he is wonderful in counsel
and excellent in wisdom. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear.
What can man do to me? Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
the righteous man runs into it and is safe. But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved. For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. Wait for the Lord;
be strong, and let your heart take courage;
wait for the Lord! Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’ But from there you will seek the Lord your God and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul. Incline my heart to your testimonies,
and not to selfish gain! For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God. No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;
fools despise wisdom and instruction. For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have. Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them. You have given me the shield of your salvation,
and your right hand supported me,
and your gentleness made me great.
You gave a wide place for my steps under me,
and my feet did not slip. And said to them, “Whoever receives this child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me. For he who is least among you all is the one who is great.” For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong. A soft answer turns away wrath,
but a harsh word stirs up anger. Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed. Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word. For you are my rock and my fortress;
and for your name's sake you lead me and guide me. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up. In peace I will both lie down and sleep;
for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect. I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil,
but those who plan peace have joy. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.Next verse!With image
