Chinese (traditional)Jesus answered, “Amen, I say to you, there is no one who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands for my sake and for the sake of the gospel who will not receive in this age a hundred times more houses, brothers and sisters, mothers and children, and lands—as well as persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life.” Continue in all of the ways that the Lord, your God, has commanded you. Continue in them so that you may live and prosper and that you may long dwell on the land of your inheritance. Even though I wander
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are at my side,
with your rod and your staff
that comfort me. Bear with one another, and forgive one another if anyone has reason to be offended with another. You must forgive just as the Lord has forgiven you. But now in Christ Jesus, you who once were far off have been brought near through the blood of Christ. My mouth is filled with your praises
as I relate your glory all day long. Do not store up treasures for yourselves on earth, where they will be destroyed by moth and rust and where thieves break in and steal. Rather, store up treasure for yourselves in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves cannot break in and steal. This saying can be trusted:
If we have died with him,
we shall also live with him. My life is in your hands;
deliver me from the power of my enemies,
from the clutches of those who pursue me. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so too do we believe that God will bring forth with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from anything that can defile flesh or spirit, and thereby make our holiness perfect in the fear of God. To do what is right and just
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
nor will the waters engulf you.
When you walk through fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not consume you. We also know
that the Son of God has come
and given us understanding
so that we can know the one who is true.
And we are in the one who is true,
since we are in his Son Jesus Christ.
He is the true God and eternal life. The heavens proclaim the glory of God;
the firmament shows forth the work of his hands.
One day imparts that message to the next,
and night conveys that knowledge to night. Do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be afraid, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and give you help,
I will uphold you with my victorious right hand. He cried out, “Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.” And with these words he breathed his last. The proud man’s heart is not upright,
but the righteous man will live
because of his faith. No one can have greater love
than to lay down his life for his friends. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercy and the God of all consolation. He consoles us in all our afflictions and thereby enables us to console others in their tribulations, offering them the consolation with which we ourselves are consoled by God. Preferable is the little that the righteous possess
than the great wealth of the wicked.
For the power of the wicked will be overcome,
but the Lord protects the righteous. Behold, we are now going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn him to death. Then they will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and scourged and crucified, and on the third day he will be raised to life. And God is able to enrich you with an abundance of every grace, so that, with all of your needs provided for, you may be able to produce a surplus of good works. Salvation comes from the Lord.
May your blessing be upon your people. Selah For God will repay everyone in accordance with what his deeds deserve. However, the one who looks intently at the perfect law of freedom and perseveres—not forgetting what he has heard but putting it into practice—will be blessed in everything he does. The Lord redeems the lives of those who serve him;
no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him. And thus we can have confidence in him
that if we ask anything
that is in accordance with his will,
he hears us. Therefore, strive to be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect. How wonderful and delightful it is
for brothers to live together in unity. Do not be deceived; God cannot be mocked. A person will reap only what he sows. Let us never grow weary in doing what is right, for if we do not give up, we will reap our harvest in due time.Next verse!With image
