Chinese (traditional)But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one. Who has performed and done this,
calling the generations from the beginning?
I, the Lord, the first,
and with the last; I am he. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. The wicked borrows but does not pay back,
but the righteous is generous and gives. We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing. But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!” Every way of a man is right in his own eyes,
but the Lord weighs the heart. This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Our help is in the name of the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance. This God—his way is perfect;
the word of the Lord proves true;
he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God. Behold, God is my helper;
the Lord is the upholder of my life. About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. I, I am he who comforts you;
who are you that you are afraid of man who dies,
of the son of man who is made like grass. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. For you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. I will be glad and exult in you;
I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful and will not turn away his face from you, if you return to him. And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. This also comes from the Lord of hosts;
he is wonderful in counsel
and excellent in wisdom. Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens!
Let your glory be over all the earth! You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, Honor your father and mother, and, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.
