Chinese (traditional)Don’t get sidetracked;
keep your feet from following evil. This is what the Lord says to Zerubbabel: It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. The very essence of your words is truth;
all your just regulations will stand forever. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. For a child is born to us,
a son is given to us.
The government will rest on his shoulders.
And he will be called:
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. The angel replied, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God.” But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. Turn us again to yourself, O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies.
Make your face shine down upon us.
Only then will we be saved. In the beginning the Word already existed.
The Word was with God,
and the Word was God. Let those who are wise understand these things.
Let those with discernment listen carefully.
The paths of the Lord are true and right,
and righteous people live by walking in them.
But in those paths sinners stumble and fall. I will hurry, without delay,
to obey your commands. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? Don’t long for “the good old days.”
This is not wise. How wonderful and pleasant it is
when brothers live together in harmony! But while Peter was in prison, the church prayed very earnestly for him. “All right then,” Joshua said, “destroy the idols among you, and turn your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.” A troublemaker plants seeds of strife;
gossip separates the best of friends. You also must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will come when least expected. Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? In my distress I prayed to the Lord,
and the Lord answered me and set me free. Jesus replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.” Then he added, “Now go and learn the meaning of this Scripture: ‘I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices.’ For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.” Don’t wear yourself out trying to get rich.
Be wise enough to know when to quit. If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person? Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. I will sing to the Lord as long as I live.
I will praise my God to my last breath! But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect. Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good. Search for the Lord and for his strength;
continually seek him. Deceit fills hearts that are plotting evil;
joy fills hearts that are planning peace! But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.Next verse!With image
