- Blessed be the Lord,
Who daily loads us with benefits,
The God of our salvation! Selah - For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.
- Behold, God is my helper;
The Lord is with those who uphold my life. - In You, O Lord, I put my trust;
Let me never be ashamed;
Deliver me in Your righteousness. - But You, O Lord, are a shield for me,
My glory and the One who lifts up my head. - He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.
- Out of the depths I have cried to You, O Lord;
Lord, hear my voice!
Let Your ears be attentive
To the voice of my supplications. - The Lord makes poor and makes rich;
He brings low and lifts up. - Salvation belongs to the Lord.
Your blessing is upon Your people. Selah - Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he fell to the ground and worshiped. And he said:
“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
And naked shall I return there.
The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away;
Blessed be the name of the Lord.” - Give us this day our daily bread.
- That I may come to you with joy by the will of God, and may be refreshed together with you.
- But our God is in heaven;
He does whatever He pleases. - Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church.
- For You will light my lamp;
The Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. - For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
- When they had pasture, they were filled;
They were filled and their heart was exalted;
Therefore they forgot Me. - I spread out my hands to You;
My soul longs for You like a thirsty land. Selah - But now, O Lord,
You are our Father;
We are the clay, and You our potter;
And all we are the work of Your hand.
