Chinese (traditional)- For his anger is but for a moment;
his favor is for a lifetime.
Weeping may linger for the night,
but joy comes with the morning. - By day the Lord commands his steadfast love,
and at night his song is with me,
a prayer to the God of my life. - Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
I will lift up my hands and call on your name. - You shall not hate in your heart anyone of your kin; you shall reprove your neighbor, or you will incur guilt yourself. You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against any of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.
- For this very reason, you must make every effort to support your faith with goodness, and goodness with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with endurance, and endurance with godliness, and godliness with mutual affection, and mutual affection with love.
- If I give away all my possessions, and if I hand over my body so that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
- But as for you, man of God, shun all this; pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, gentleness.
- And live in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
- For this is the message you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
- When I thought, “My foot is slipping,”
your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up. - Beloved, since God loved us so much, we also ought to love one another.
- Let mutual love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it.
- For the mountains may depart
and the hills be removed,
but my steadfast love shall not depart from you,
and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,
says the Lord, who has compassion on you. - Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
- He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”
- Do not love the world or the things in the world. The love of the Father is not in those who love the world.
- For your steadfast love is as high as the heavens;
your faithfulness extends to the clouds. - If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
- No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
- I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another.
- For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving,
abounding in steadfast love to all who call on you. - We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.
- They who have my commandments and keep them are those who love me; and those who love me will be loved by my Father, and I will love them and reveal myself to them.
- God's love was revealed among us in this way: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might live through him.
- For the whole law is summed up in a single commandment, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
And hope does not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.Bear one another's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
