- As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him. - ‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’
- If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love.

Return to the Lord your God,
for he is gracious and compassionate,
slow to anger and abounding in love,

Blessed are those who fear the Lord,
who find great delight in his commands. - For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.

and the light of your face, for you loved them. - To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.

and, “You reward everyone
according to what they have done.” - Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.Next verse!With image
