Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about Patience
- Whoever is patient has great understanding,
but one who is quick-tempered displays folly. - Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
- Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
- Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
- But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
- Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
- Better a patient person than a warrior,
one with self-control than one who takes a city. - Be still before the Lord
and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes. - Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord. - The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.
- The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
- Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
- May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had.
- For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime;
weeping may stay for the night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning. - In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait expectantly. - Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you;
therefore he will rise up to show you compassion.
For the Lord is a God of justice.
Blessed are all who wait for him! - The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in love. - But the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.
- But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life.
- But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.
- Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.
- Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.
- I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.
- Rend your heart
and not your garments.
Return to the Lord your God,
for he is gracious and compassionate,
slow to anger and abounding in love,
and he relents from sending calamity. - The prospect of the righteous is joy,
but the hopes of the wicked come to nothing.
You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.Next verse!With image
