- He loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord. - For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do.
- In you, O Lord, do I take refuge;
let me never be put to shame;
in your righteousness deliver me! - Go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.’ For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.

- Do not envy a man of violence

for the devious person is an abomination to the Lord,
but the upright are in his confidence. - Thus says the Lord of hosts, Render true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another, do not oppress the widow, the fatherless, the sojourner, or the poor, and let none of you devise evil against another in your heart.
- The Lord is righteous in all his ways
and kind in all his works. - “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything.
- Hear my prayer, O Lord;
give ear to my pleas for mercy!
In your faithfulness answer me, in your righteousness! - Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Give justice to the weak and the fatherless;
maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. - Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you,
and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you.
For the Lord is a God of justice;
blessed are all those who wait for him. - You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.
- But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall.
- For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous.
- I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.
- But the one who did not know, and did what deserved a beating, will receive a light beating. Everyone to whom much was given, of him much will be required, and from him to whom they entrusted much, they will demand the more.
- And it will be righteousness for us, if we are careful to do all this commandment before the Lord our God, as he has commanded us.
- Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness.
- We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners; yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.
- Whoever is wise, let him understand these things;
whoever is discerning, let him know them;
for the ways of the Lord are right,
and the upright walk in them,
but transgressors stumble in them. - My soul yearns for you in the night;
my spirit within me earnestly seeks you.
For when your judgments are in the earth,
the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.
