- For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything; the only thing that counts is faith working through love.
- But now that you have been freed from sin and enslaved to God, the advantage you get is sanctification. The end is eternal life.
- Shun fornication! Every sin that a person commits is outside the body; but the fornicator sins against the body itself.
- Therefore take up the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to withstand on that evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.
- But I trusted in your steadfast love;
my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.
I will sing to the Lord,
because he has dealt bountifully with me. - God gives the desolate a home to live in;
he leads out the prisoners to prosperity,
but the rebellious live in a parched land. - Pray then in this way:
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven. - But I say to you that listen, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you.
- What then are we to say? Should we continue in sin in order that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin go on living in it?
- He has told you, O mortal, what is good;
and what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice, and to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God? - May I never boast of anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
- For we brought nothing into the world, so that we can take nothing out of it; but if we have food and clothing, we will be content with these.
- “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are beneficial. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything.
- It does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
- For God is not unjust; he will not overlook your work and the love that you showed for his sake in serving the saints, as you still do.
- Pray in the Spirit at all times in every prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert and always persevere in supplication for all the saints.
- If you sow to your own flesh, you will reap corruption from the flesh; but if you sow to the Spirit, you will reap eternal life from the Spirit.
- Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not rely on your own insight.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths. - In my distress I called upon the Lord;
to my God I cried for help.
From his temple he heard my voice,
and my cry to him reached his ears. - Be strong and bold; have no fear or dread of them, because it is the Lord your God who goes with you; he will not fail you or forsake you.
- But those who want to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.
- Hear, O Israel: The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.
- Then the Lord commanded us to observe all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our lasting good, so as to keep us alive, as is now the case.
- And without faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever would approach him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
- But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed; you are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has been raised; he is not here. Look, there is the place they laid him.”
