- Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for you reap whatever you sow.

to his servants the prophets. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;
fools despise wisdom and instruction. - For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice, but rather a spirit of power and of love and of self-discipline.
- What then should we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet, if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.”
- Jesus then said, “I will be with you a little while longer, and then I am going to him who sent me.”
- If you know me, you will know my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.
- The end of all things is near; therefore be serious and discipline yourselves for the sake of your prayers.
- If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
- Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
- Do not say, “Why were the former days better than these?”
For it is not from wisdom that you ask this. - Why do you see the speck in your neighbor's eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye?
- Some take pride in chariots, and some in horses,
but our pride is in the name of the Lord our God. - To those who by patiently doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.
- Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
- And let the one who believes in me drink. As the scripture has said, ‘Out of the believer's heart shall flow rivers of living water.’
- You are a hiding place for me;
you preserve me from trouble;
you surround me with glad cries of deliverance. Selah - Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
