| What is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? | What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? |
| Thus you could understand that the Lord, your God, was disciplining you, just like a father disciplines his son. | You should know in your heart that as a man chastens his son, so the Lord your God chastens you. |

| For I am not ashamed of the gospel, since it is the power of God that offers salvation to everyone who has faith—to Jews first, and then to Gentiles as well. | For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. |
| Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you and utter all kinds of calumnies against you for my sake. | Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. |
