- How much more valuable is a person than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.
- So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.
- Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
- Arise, Lord! Lift up your hand, O God.
Do not forget the helpless. - Learn to do right; seek justice.
Defend the oppressed.
Take up the cause of the fatherless;
plead the case of the widow. - But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
- Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
- Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
- Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.
- Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
- But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
to blot out their name from the earth. - Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”
- Blessed is the one whom God corrects;

- Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.
- Do not turn to the right or the left;
keep your foot from evil. - I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
- Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him.
- When the sentence for a crime is not quickly carried out, people’s hearts are filled with schemes to do wrong.
- The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
- So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober.
- For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous
and his ears are attentive to their prayer,
but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. - Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
- If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.
- I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!
