- But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.”
- Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.
- Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.”
- Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.
- Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
- Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.
- “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
- Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
- But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
- John answered, “Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.”
- Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
- And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.”
- Do not say, “Why were the old days better than these?”
For it is not wise to ask such questions. - As you do not know the path of the wind,
or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb,
so you cannot understand the work of God,
the Maker of all things. - Get wisdom, get understanding;
do not forget my words or turn away from them. - Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
- Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.
- For the practices of the peoples are worthless;
they cut a tree out of the forest,
and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel.
They adorn it with silver and gold;
they fasten it with hammer and nails
so it will not totter.
Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field,
their idols cannot speak;
they must be carried
because they cannot walk.
Do not fear them;
they can do no harm
nor can they do any good. - Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.
- And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
- But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
- Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully.
- This is what the Lord Almighty said: ‘Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another. Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the foreigner or the poor. Do not plot evil against each other.’
- Do not forsake your friend or a friend of your family,
and do not go to your relative’s house when disaster strikes you—
better a neighbor nearby than a relative far away. - “Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?” declares the Lord.
“Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the Lord.

from those who pursue me.
