Chinese (traditional)- The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”
- Sin is not ended by multiplying words,
but the prudent hold their tongues. - What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means!
- Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
- The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
- If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up. - We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.
- A mediator, however, implies more than one party; but God is one.
- Now let the fear of the Lord be on you. Judge carefully, for with the Lord our God there is no injustice or partiality or bribery.
- Good and upright is the Lord;
therefore he instructs sinners in his ways.
He guides the humble in what is right
and teaches them his way. - Unless the Lord builds the house,
the builders labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
the guards stand watch in vain. - Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
- As water reflects the face,
so one’s life reflects the heart. - A cheerful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. - A person’s riches may ransom their life,
but the poor cannot respond to threatening rebukes. - “And with you, Lord, is unfailing love”;
and, “You reward everyone
according to what they have done.” - As far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us. - Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him.
- But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
- Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
- A wicked person earns deceptive wages,
but the one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward. - Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
- Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.
- For the Lord loves the just
and will not forsake his faithful ones.
Wrongdoers will be completely destroyed;
the offspring of the wicked will perish. - The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
A fool spurns a parent’s discipline,
but whoever heeds correction shows prudence. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.Next verse!With image
