thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah. - Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
- If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
- And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the Lord am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.
- Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.
- Train up a child in the way he should go:
and when he is old, he will not depart from it. - Wash you, make you clean;
put away the evil of your doings
from before mine eyes;
cease to do evil. - For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.
- Remove far from me vanity and lies:
give me neither poverty nor riches;
feed me with food convenient for me. - Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
- To him that is afflicted pity should be shewed from his friend;
but he forsaketh the fear of the Almighty. - Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
- Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
- Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?
- Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips;
I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. - He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law,
even his prayer shall be abomination. - And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
- Who hath wrought and done it,
calling the generations from the beginning?
I the Lord, the first,
and with the last; I am he. - Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the Lord.
- And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.
- Labour not to be rich:
cease from thine own wisdom.
It is an honour for a man to cease from strife:
but every fool will be meddling.Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him:
