Bible Verses about 'Giving to the needy'
- Defend the poor and fatherless:
do justice to the afflicted and needy. - And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
- Open thy mouth, judge righteously,
and plead the cause of the poor and needy. - Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

the commandment of the Lord is pure,

The entrance of thy words giveth light;
it giveth understanding unto the simple.But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.
