- The Lord, your God, is in your midst,
a warrior who gives victory;
he will rejoice over you with gladness,
he will renew you in his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing. - The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
he leads me beside still waters. - When a man is newly married, he shall not go out with the army or be charged with any related duty. He shall be free at home one year, to be happy with the wife whom he has married.
- I sought the Lord, and he answered me,
and delivered me from all my fears. - He heals the brokenhearted,
and binds up their wounds. - The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do this.
- He who did not withhold his own Son, but gave him up for all of us, will he not with him also give us everything else?
- The Almighty —we cannot find him;
he is great in power and justice,
and abundant righteousness he will not violate. - He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be shaken. - Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you.
- Good and upright is the Lord;
therefore he instructs sinners in the way.
He leads the humble in what is right,
and teaches the humble his way. - You are from your father the devil, and you choose to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks according to his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
- Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinners, and be crucified, and on the third day rise again.
- Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.
- He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall never be shaken. - The Lord watches over the strangers;
he upholds the orphan and the widow,
but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin. - Consequently he is able for all time to save those who approach God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.
- It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.
- He was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread nor drank water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
- Then he took a loaf of bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”
- He sent out his word and healed them,
and delivered them from destruction. - I love the Lord, because he has heard
my voice and my supplications.
Because he inclined his ear to me,
therefore I will call on him as long as I live. - The Lord is with you, while you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you abandon him, he will abandon you.
- The Lord loves those who hate evil;
he guards the lives of his faithful;
he rescues them from the hand of the wicked. - And without faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever would approach him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
