But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the Lord charged you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.But be very careful to keep the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the Lord gave you: to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to keep his commands, to hold fast to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.
He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him.
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.
Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.But be sure to fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you.
For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.For the Lord your God is gracious and compassionate. He will not turn his face from you if you return to him.
Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death and will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!
For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.
Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.
If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth.If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.
Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.Paul said, “John’s baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus.”
Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.
No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
