Chinese (traditional)- But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
- That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.
- For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
- He is despised and rejected of men;
a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief:
and we hid as it were our faces from him;
he was despised, and we esteemed him not. - And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.
- Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.
- Many are the afflictions of the righteous:
but the Lord delivereth him out of them all. - Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.
- And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
- For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.
- But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the Lord charged you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.
- Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
- Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
- Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
- Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
- And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
- For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
- A man's pride shall bring him low:
but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit. - Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
- Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
- And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
- The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice:
and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him. - He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
- Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
- If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth.
And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him. The liberal soul shall be made fat:
and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.Next verse!With image
