- A gentle answer deflects anger,
but harsh words make tempers flare. - Remember, you must not make any idols of silver or gold to rival me.

he sets the prisoners free and gives them joy.
But he makes the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land. - Come and listen to my counsel.
I’ll share my heart with you
and make you wise. - “Come now, let’s settle this,”
says the Lord.

I will make them as white as snow.
Though they are red like crimson,
I will make them as white as wool.” - Sing to the Lord, for he has done wonderful things.
Make known his praise around the world. - So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.”
- Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.
- And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.
- This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”
- Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.”
- The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ.
- So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.
- So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law.
- Turn us again to yourself, O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies.
Make your face shine down upon us.
Only then will we be saved. - For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.
- What sorrow awaits those who argue with their Creator.
Does a clay pot argue with its maker?
Does the clay dispute with the one who shapes it, saying,
‘Stop, you’re doing it wrong!’
Does the pot exclaim,
‘How clumsy can you be?’ - Jesus replied, “All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them.”
- And may the Lord make your love for one another and for all people grow and overflow, just as our love for you overflows.
- Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.
- So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.
- He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.
- Indeed, we all make many mistakes. For if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way.
- Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters. Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God.
- I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die.
