- Let your word be ‘Yes, Yes’ or ‘No, No’; anything more than this comes from the evil one.
- Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an unexpected hour.
- From that time Jesus began to proclaim, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”
- Those who find their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will find it.

- For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will find it.
- I tell you, on the day of judgment you will have to give an account for every careless word you utter.
- In everything do to others as you would have them do to you; for this is the law and the prophets.
- Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. You received without payment; give without payment.
- Stay awake and pray that you may not come into the time of trial; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
- Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets; I have come not to abolish but to fulfill.
