The face of the Lord is against evildoers, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. | But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil; he will erase their memory from the earth. |
When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears, and rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves the crushed in spirit. | The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord rescues them from them all. | The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time. |
