- The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich:
he bringeth low, and lifteth up. - There is none holy as the Lord:
for there is none beside thee:
neither is there any rock like our God. - But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.
- Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.
- For who is God, save the Lord?
and who is a rock, save our God? - As for God, his way is perfect;
the word of the Lord is tried:
he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. - Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

- I made a covenant with mine eyes;

and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow. - In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust;
let me never be ashamed:
deliver me in thy righteousness. - Learn to do well; seek judgment,
relieve the oppressed,
judge the fatherless,
plead for the widow. - Wash you, make you clean;
put away the evil of your doings
from before mine eyes;
cease to do evil. - For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
- But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
- Blessed is the man
that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor standeth in the way of sinners,
nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. - Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
- No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
- But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.
- Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
- For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
- Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man.
- For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
- I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills,
from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the Lord,
which made heaven and earth. - These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
- For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
- That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.
- And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
- And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

- The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.
- We love him, because he first loved us.
- For with God nothing shall be impossible.
- Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
- He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress:
my God; in him will I trust. - How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
- Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.
- Honour widows that are widows indeed.
