Bible Verses about 'The one'
- But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
- Joyful is the person who finds wisdom,
the one who gains understanding. - For every house has a builder, but the one who built everything is God.
- But you, O Lord, are a shield around me;
you are my glory, the one who holds my head high. - He will not let you stumble;
the one who watches over you will not slumber. - Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.”
- For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future.
- But Jesus told them, “I will be with you only a little longer. Then I will return to the one who sent me.”
- And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.
- “I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.”
- I didn’t know he was the one, but when God sent me to baptize with water, he told me, ‘The one on whom you see the Spirit descend and rest is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’
- I tell you the truth, slaves are not greater than their master. Nor is the messenger more important than the one who sends the message.
- I, yes I, am the one who comforts you.
So why are you afraid of mere humans,
who wither like the grass and disappear? - For,
There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. - For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says,
‘The stone that you builders rejected
has now become the cornerstone.’ - For I decided that while I was with you I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, the one who was crucified.
- Paul said, “John’s baptism called for repentance from sin. But John himself told the people to believe in the one who would come later, meaning Jesus.”
- The one thing I ask of the Lord—
the thing I seek most—
is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
delighting in the Lord’s perfections
and meditating in his Temple. - Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop.
- He is the one all the prophets testified about, saying that everyone who believes in him will have their sins forgiven through his name.
- Please, Lord, please save us.
Please, Lord, please give us success.
Bless the one who comes in the name of the Lord.
We bless you from the house of the Lord. - Now a mediator is helpful if more than one party must reach an agreement. But God, who is one, did not use a mediator when he gave his promise to Abraham.
- No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.
- No one is holy like the Lord!
There is no one besides you;
there is no Rock like our God. - Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves, and some are free. But we have all been baptized into one body by one Spirit, and we all share the same Spirit.
- Jesus was in the center of the procession, and the people all around him were shouting,
“Praise God for the Son of David!
Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord!
Praise God in highest heaven!” - But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day.
- The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ.
- Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as the one who is over all things.
- For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you.
- And then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea. They sang:
“Blessing and honor and glory and power
belong to the one sitting on the throne
and to the Lamb forever and ever.” - And the Lord will be king over all the earth. On that day there will be one Lord—his name alone will be worshiped.
- But now Jesus, our High Priest, has been given a ministry that is far superior to the old priesthood, for he is the one who mediates for us a far better covenant with God, based on better promises.

Does the clay dispute with the one who shapes it, saying,
‘Stop, you’re doing it wrong!’
Does the pot exclaim,
‘How clumsy can you be?’ - No one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who is himself God, is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us.

There is one God, the Father,
