| “What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.” | But Jesus said to him, “ ‘If You can’? All things are possible for the one who believes.” |
| All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. | All Scripture is inspired by God and beneficial for teaching, for rebuke, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man or woman of God may be fully capable, equipped for every good work. |
| Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is put out of sight! | How blessed is he whose wrongdoing is forgiven, Whose sin is covered! |

| What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? | What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? |
| Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day—about 3,000 in all. | So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls. |
| But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. | But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not just hearers who deceive themselves. |
| But test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good. Stay away from every kind of evil. | But examine everything; hold firmly to that which is good, abstain from every form of evil. |
| So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. | But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. |
| So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?” | So that we confidently say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?” |
| What are you waiting for? Get up and be baptized. Have your sins washed away by calling on the name of the Lord. | Now why do you delay? Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins by calling on His name. |
| But when Jesus heard what had happened, he said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be healed.” | But when Jesus heard this, He responded to him, “Do not be afraid any longer; only believe, and she will be made well.” |
