  • O the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!

  • Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in my house, and thus put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts; see if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you an overflowing blessing.
  • Be on your guard, so that you do not lose what we have worked for, but may receive a full reward.
  • Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves.
  • But God, who is rich in mercy, out of the great love with which he loved us even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ —by grace you have been saved—.
  • This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth; you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to act in accordance with all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall be successful.
  • While he was still speaking, suddenly a bright cloud overshadowed them, and from the cloud a voice said, “This is my Son, the Beloved; with him I am well pleased; listen to him!”
  • Because sentence against an evil deed is not executed speedily, the human heart is fully set to do evil.
