- Repent, and turn from your sins. Don’t let them destroy you!
- Sing to the Lord, for he has done wonderful things.
Make known his praise around the world. - Let all that I am wait quietly before God,
for my hope is in him. - But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.
- Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.
- Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.
- Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people.
- Never let loyalty and kindness leave you!
Tie them around your neck as a reminder.
Write them deep within your heart.
Then you will find favor with both God and people,
and you will earn a good reputation. - You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
- Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair,
and you will find the right way to go. - There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?
- In those days when you pray, I will listen.

We will rejoice and be glad in it. - Give honor to marriage, and remain faithful to one another in marriage. God will surely judge people who are immoral and those who commit adultery.
- On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me!”
- And don’t let us yield to temptation,
but rescue us from the evil one. - Stop deceiving yourselves. If you think you are wise by this world’s standards, you need to become a fool to be truly wise.
- We all come to the end of our lives as naked and empty-handed as on the day we were born. We can’t take our riches with us.
- A newly married man must not be drafted into the army or be given any other official responsibilities. He must be free to spend one year at home, bringing happiness to the wife he has married.
- So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.
- When you go through deep waters,
I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty,
you will not drown.
When you walk through the fire of oppression,
you will not be burned up;
the flames will not consume you. - But Jesus told them, “I will be with you only a little longer. Then I will return to the one who sent me.”
- People who accept discipline are on the pathway to life,
but those who ignore correction will go astray. - As they strained to see him rising into heaven, two white-robed men suddenly stood among them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why are you standing here staring into heaven? Jesus has been taken from you into heaven, but someday he will return from heaven in the same way you saw him go!”
