Do not envy a violent man or choose to emulate any of his ways. For the perverse man is an abomination to the Lord whose friendship is bestowed only upon the upright.Don’t envy the man of violence. Choose none of his ways. For the perverse is an abomination to Yahweh, but his friendship is with the upright.
Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land who obey his commands. Seek righteousness, seek humility; then perhaps you may find shelter on the day of the Lord’s anger.Seek Yahweh, all you humble of the land, who have kept his ordinances. Seek righteousness. Seek humility. It may be that you will be hidden in the day of Yahweh’s anger.
He has rescued us from the power of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.Who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love, in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins.

If in speaking I use human tongues and angelic as well, but do not have love, I am nothing more than a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but don’t have love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or how tall he stands, for the Lord has rejected him. He does not see the way that men see, for men look on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”But Yahweh said to Samuel, “Don’t look on his face, or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for I don’t see as man sees. For man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart.”
If you listen to the voice of the Lord, your God, and you do what is right in his sight, if you listen to his ordinances and observe all of his laws, I will not bring upon you any of the diseases that I brought upon the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.If you will diligently listen to Yahweh your God’s voice, and will do that which is right in his eyes, and will pay attention to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I am Yahweh who heals you.
Sing to God, sing praise to his name; exalt him who rides upon the clouds. Rejoice in the presence of this God whose name is the Lord. The Father of orphans and the defender of widows: such is God in his holy dwelling place.Sing to God! Sing praises to his name! Extol him who rides on the clouds: to Yah, his name! Rejoice before him! A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.
Be still and acknowledge that I am God, exalted among the nations, exalted on the earth.Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.
After this, he said to the crowd, “Take care to be on your guard against all kinds of greed. Life does not depend upon an abundance of one’s possessions.”He said to them, “Beware! Keep yourselves from covetousness, for a man’s life doesn’t consist of the abundance of the things which he possesses.”
Behold, we are now going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn him to death. Entrust your cares to the Lord, and he will uphold you; he will never allow the righteous to waver.Cast your burden on Yahweh and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved.
If you are angry, do not sin. Do not let the sun set on your anger, and do not give the devil an opening.“Be angry, and don’t sin.” Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil.
But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those who trust in his kindness.Behold, Yahweh’s eye is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his loving kindness.
I will make them and the region surrounding my hill a blessing, and I will send them rain in due season that will be showers of blessing.I will make them and the places around my hill a blessing. I will cause the shower to come down in its season. There will be showers of blessing.
Take care, brethren, that none of you will ever have an evil and unbelieving heart that will cause you to forsake the living God.Beware, brothers, lest perhaps there might be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God.
Everyone who hears these words of mine and acts in accordance with them will be like a wise man who constructed his house on a rock foundation.Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock.
