I have put my hope in his word. - On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me!”
- And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.
- The wise are glad to be instructed,
but babbling fools fall flat on their faces. - Instead, I want to see a mighty flood of justice,
an endless river of righteous living. - And how much more valuable is a person than a sheep! Yes, the law permits a person to do good on the Sabbath.
- And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak.
- Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.
- The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers.
- People who accept discipline are on the pathway to life,
but those who ignore correction will go astray. - As soon as they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then when Paul laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in other tongues and prophesied.

By his wounds
you are healed. - Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.

- Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.
- Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all.
- You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.
- O Lord, you have examined my heart
and know everything about me.
You know when I sit down or stand up.
You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. - And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption.
