- When your eyes light upon it, it is gone;
for suddenly it takes wings to itself,
flying like an eagle toward heaven. - But for you who revere my name the sun of righteousness shall rise, with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall.

- Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you;
therefore he will rise up to show mercy to you.
For the Lord is a God of justice;
blessed are all those who wait for him. - For the Lord himself, with a cry of command, with the archangel's call and with the sound of God's trumpet, will descend from heaven, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up in the clouds together with them to meet the Lord in the air; and so we will be with the Lord forever.
- Then everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
- For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
- Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an unexpected hour.
- The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears are open to their cry. - Blessings are on the head of the righteous,
but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence. - Put on the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
- To this day I have had help from God, and so I stand here, testifying to both small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would take place: that the Messiah must suffer, and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light both to our people and to the Gentiles.
- Out of my distress I called on the Lord;
the Lord answered me and set me in a broad place. - To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.
- O Lord, you have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from far away. - Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your heart. Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise.

but the prudent ignore an insult. - They answered, “Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

- How much more valuable is a human being than a sheep! So it is lawful to do good on the sabbath.
- Everyone then who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock.
- Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life,
but one who rejects a rebuke goes astray. - For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.
- For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears are open to their prayer.
But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. - Adulterers! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.
- On the last day of the festival, the great day, while Jesus was standing there, he cried out, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me.”
- When one will not listen to the law,
even one's prayers are an abomination. - Cast your burden on the Lord,
and he will sustain you;
he will never permit
the righteous to be moved. - Iron sharpens iron,

- On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. When Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied.

and do not choose any of their ways;
for the perverse are an abomination to the Lord,
but the upright are in his confidence. - Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
- One who forgives an affront fosters friendship,
but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend. - Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord,
but those who act faithfully are his delight. - Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land,
who do his commands;
seek righteousness, seek humility;
perhaps you may be hidden
on the day of the Lord's wrath. - God, the Lord, is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
and makes me tread upon the heights. - Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” Immediately he regained his sight and followed him on the way.
- So acknowledge today and take to heart that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other.
- Shun youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.
- Because sentence against an evil deed is not executed speedily, the human heart is fully set to do evil.
- For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, says the Lord God. Turn, then, and live.
- Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
