- Evil people get rich for the moment,
but the reward of the godly will last. - When I refused to confess my sin,
my body wasted away,

- What are you waiting for? Get up and be baptized. Have your sins washed away by calling on the name of the Lord.

is better than a thousand anywhere else!
I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God
than live the good life in the homes of the wicked. - But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil;
he will erase their memory from the earth. - Well then, am I suggesting that the law of God is sinful? Of course not! In fact, it was the law that showed me my sin. I would never have known that coveting is wrong if the law had not said, “You must not covet.”
- He reveals deep and mysterious things
and knows what lies hidden in darkness,
though he is surrounded by light. - Help us, O God of our salvation!
Help us for the glory of your name.
Save us and forgive our sins
for the honor of your name.
