Chinese (traditional)- Excellent speech becometh not a fool:
much less do lying lips a prince. - Open thy mouth, judge righteously,
and plead the cause of the poor and needy. - The tongue of the just is as choice silver:
the heart of the wicked is little worth. - Blessings are upon the head of the just:
but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked. - Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
- For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
- He that hideth hatred with lying lips,
and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool. - I will bless the Lord at all times:
his praise shall continually be in my mouth. - Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips;
I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. - If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
- But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.
- In my distress I called upon the Lord,
and cried unto my God:
he heard my voice out of his temple,
and my cry came before him, even into his ears. - And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
- For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
- And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
- Lying lips are abomination to the Lord:
but they that deal truly are his delight. - And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
- And in that day shall ye say,
Praise the Lord, call upon his name,
declare his doings among the people,
make mention that his name is exalted. - And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
- I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart;
I will shew forth all thy marvellous works. - And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
- The words of a talebearer are as wounds,
and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly. - Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
- Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
- But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne: Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
