- And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
- Every word of God is pure:
he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. - Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation:
and thy right hand hath holden me up,
and thy gentleness hath made me great.
Thou hast enlarged my steps under me,
that my feet did not slip. - My son, attend to my words;
incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Let them not depart from thine eyes;
keep them in the midst of thine heart. - Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.
- Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
- As for God, his way is perfect;
the word of the Lord is tried:
he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. - Thy word have I hid in mine heart,
that I might not sin against thee. - For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
- Thy word is true from the beginning:
and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. - I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait,
and in his word do I hope. - Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
- He sent his word, and healed them,
and delivered them from their destructions. - The law of the Lord is perfect,
converting the soul:
the testimony of the Lord is sure,
making wise the simple. - Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord God.
- He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
- Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not;
neither decline from the words of my mouth. - Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
- Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings;
and the years of thy life shall be many. - Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
- For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
- All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
- Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.
- And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

For if we be dead with him,
we shall also live with him.
Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips;
I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
