Chinese (traditional)Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all! Riches won’t help on the day of judgment,
but right living can save you from death. All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God. They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity— all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved. I will shout for joy and sing your praises,
for you have ransomed me. For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” But because there is so much sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman should have her own husband. Do not withhold good from those who deserve it
when it’s in your power to help them. Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourselves with the same attitude he had, and be ready to suffer, too. For if you have suffered physically for Christ, you have finished with sin. Hear my prayer, O Lord;
listen to my plea!
Answer me because you are faithful and righteous. Then, by the will of God, I will be able to come to you with a joyful heart, and we will be an encouragement to each other. Jesus responded, “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?” The Lord’s home reaches up to the heavens,
while its foundation is on the earth.
He draws up water from the oceans
and pours it down as rain on the land.
The Lord is his name! And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because it was the day when he rested from all his work of creation. For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you. Be still, and know that I am God!
I will be honored by every nation.
I will be honored throughout the world. Give to anyone who asks; and when things are taken away from you, don’t try to get them back. The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness can never extinguish it. They did not conquer the land with their swords;
it was not their own strong arm that gave them victory.
It was your right hand and strong arm
and the blinding light from your face that helped them,
for you loved them. And if you do good only to those who do good to you, why should you get credit? Even sinners do that much! For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny baby growing in its mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the activity of God, who does all things. But don’t be so concerned about perishable things like food. Spend your energy seeking the eternal life that the Son of Man can give you. For God the Father has given me the seal of his approval. God blesses those whose hearts are pure,
for they will see God. The generous will prosper;
those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed. But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day. May God give you more and more mercy, peace, and love. The Lord is righteous in everything he does;
he is filled with kindness. So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. Deceit fills hearts that are plotting evil;
joy fills hearts that are planning peace! The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.Next verse!With image
