Chinese (traditional)Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields, for my sake and for the sake of the good news, who will not receive a hundredfold now in this age—houses, brothers and sisters, mothers and children, and fields with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life.” You must follow exactly the path that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live, and that it may go well with you, and that you may live long in the land that you are to possess. Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I fear no evil;
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff—
they comfort me. Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. My mouth is filled with your praise,
and with your glory all day long. Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal; but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes and where thieves do not break in and steal. The saying is sure:
If we have died with him, we will also live with him. My times are in your hand;
deliver me from the hand of my enemies and persecutors. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have died. Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and of spirit, making holiness perfect in the fear of God. To do righteousness and justice
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,
and the flame shall not consume you. And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. The heavens are telling the glory of God;
and the firmament proclaims his handiwork.
Day to day pours forth speech,
and night to night declares knowledge. Do not fear, for I am with you,
do not be afraid, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my victorious right hand. Then Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.” Having said this, he breathed his last. Look at the proud!
Their spirit is not right in them,
but the righteous live by their faith. No one has greater love than this, to lay down one's life for one's friends. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all consolation, who consoles us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to console those who are in any affliction with the consolation with which we ourselves are consoled by God. Better is a little that the righteous person has
than the abundance of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
but the Lord upholds the righteous. See, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death; then they will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified; and on the third day he will be raised. And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work. Deliverance belongs to the Lord;
may your blessing be on your people! Selah For he will repay according to each one's deeds. But those who look into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and persevere, being not hearers who forget but doers who act—they will be blessed in their doing. The Lord redeems the life of his servants;
none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned. And this is the boldness we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. How very good and pleasant it is
when kindred live together in unity! Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for you reap whatever you sow.
