Chinese (traditional)God abides in those who confess that Jesus is the Son of God, and they abide in God. Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us,
and prosper for us the work of our hands—
O prosper the work of our hands! Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in my house, and thus put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts; see if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you an overflowing blessing. But whenever you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you. God, the Lord, is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
and makes me tread upon the heights. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” So, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful. Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
when it is in your power to do it. Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an unexpected hour. But those who want to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
I have no good apart from you.” Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me. For the mountains may depart
and the hills be removed,
but my steadfast love shall not depart from you,
and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,
says the Lord, who has compassion on you. Do not say, “Why were the former days better than these?”
For it is not from wisdom that you ask this. So we have known and believe the love that God has for us.
God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them. For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever. Amen. A generous person will be enriched,
and one who gives water will get water. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace. But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed; you are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has been raised; he is not here. Look, there is the place they laid him.” I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
and in his word I hope. Surely he has borne our infirmities
and carried our diseases;
yet we accounted him stricken,
struck down by God, and afflicted. Day by day, as they spent much time together in the temple, they broke bread at home and ate their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having the goodwill of all the people. And day by day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved. Better is a little with the fear of the Lord
than great treasure and trouble with it. So Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will snatch them out of my hand. What my Father has given me is greater than all else, and no one can snatch it out of the Father's hand. The Father and I are one. Rejoice greatly, O daughter Zion!
Shout aloud, O daughter Jerusalem!
Lo, your king comes to you;
triumphant and victorious is he,
humble and riding on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey. Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly; do not claim to be wiser than you are. For where there is envy and selfish ambition, there will also be disorder and wickedness of every kind. Make me to know your ways, O Lord;
teach me your paths. Listen! I am standing at the door, knocking; if you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to you and eat with you, and you with me. As far as the east is from the west,
so far he removes our transgressions from us. He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness.Next verse!With image
