Chinese (traditional)And you will say in that day:
Give thanks to the Lord,
call on his name;
make known his deeds among the nations;
proclaim that his name is exalted. For I handed on to you as of first importance what I in turn had received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the scriptures, and that he was buried, and that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the scriptures. So God created humankind in his image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
my whole life long. But do not ignore this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like one day. And it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Before destruction one's heart is haughty,
but humility goes before honor. Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world. His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and trustworthy slave; you have been trustworthy in a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.’ May God continue to bless us;
let all the ends of the earth revere him. My friends, if anyone is detected in a transgression, you who have received the Spirit should restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness. Take care that you yourselves are not tempted. So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ. For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our ruler,
the Lord is our king; he will save us. Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe.” For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God— not the result of works, so that no one may boast. To make an apt answer is a joy to anyone,
and a word in season, how good it is! He called the crowd with his disciples, and said to them, “If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.” Ever since the creation of the world his eternal power and divine nature, invisible though they are, have been understood and seen through the things he has made. So they are without excuse. Depart from evil, and do good;
seek peace, and pursue it. I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing. Let mutual love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it. With their mouths the godless would destroy their neighbors,
but by knowledge the righteous are delivered. Those who withhold kindness from a friend
forsake the fear of the Almighty. The point is this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears are open to their cry. Every generous act of giving, with every perfect gift, is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. But Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but for God all things are possible.” The clever see danger and hide;
but the simple go on, and suffer for it. Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfilling of the law. Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. He loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord. Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for you reap whatever you sow. Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I fear no evil;
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff—
they comfort me.Next verse!With image
