Chinese (traditional)A fool takes no pleasure in understanding,
but only in expressing his opinion. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. For the righteous will never be moved;
he will be remembered forever. For you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Open your mouth for the mute,
for the rights of all who are destitute. The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these. Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. You are my hiding place and my shield;
I hope in your word. Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. God is not man, that he should lie,
or a son of man, that he should change his mind.
Has he said, and will he not do it?
Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. They shall be mine, says the Lord of hosts, in the day when I make up my treasured possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his son who serves him. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all. “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.” For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens!
Let your glory be over all the earth! Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you. Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God. My son, be attentive to my words;
incline your ear to my sayings.
Let them not escape from your sight;
keep them within your heart. “Yet even now,” declares the Lord,
“return to me with all your heart,
with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.” From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” The precepts of the Lord are right,
rejoicing the heart;
the commandment of the Lord is pure,
enlightening the eyes. This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand. If you turn at my reproof,
behold, I will pour out my spirit to you;
I will make my words known to you. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. God settles the solitary in a home;
he leads out the prisoners to prosperity,
but the rebellious dwell in a parched land. He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.Next verse!With image
